Privacy Policy
Website privacy
Last updated: November 8, 2026. This section covers paperdue.app and paperdue.pages.dev. The iOS and Android policies below describe the corresponding apps.
Local storage
The website stores your saved conferences (paperdue-favorites) and language preference (paperdue-language) in this browser’s local storage. Saved conferences are not uploaded to a PaperDue account or synchronized with the mobile apps. You can remove them by clearing this site’s browser data; doing so resets these preferences. A public conference snapshot, its version validator and the last successful check time are also saved in this browser’s IndexedDB to load quickly and limit automatic checks to once per 24 hours. You can check immediately with Refresh data. Clearing site data also removes this cache.
Hosting and downloads
The website, public conference snapshot, Android version information and APK downloads are hosted by Cloudflare Pages. Requests expose ordinary network information such as IP address, requested URL and browser request headers to the hosting provider. Cloudflare may process access and security logs under its own policies. The website does not include advertising or third-party analytics scripts, and does not use application cookies. The website’s same-origin conference API reads the public PaperDue data feed on Tencent Cloud Object Storage, preferring its gzip version. It does not forward your favorites, language preference, browser IP address or cookies to that feed. The data host sees the Cloudflare server’s ordinary request information.
External links and feedback
Conference websites, the App Store and your email provider apply their own policies when you open them. Contacting support is optional; the website does not send email automatically. Feedback you send is used to answer your request and investigate issues. Contact [email protected] to ask about or request deletion of a feedback conversation, subject to applicable retention obligations.

1. Overview
PaperDue is a free conference-deadline app. It does not require an account and does not include payment, advertising, third-party analytics or behavioral tracking SDKs. This policy describes the current app; it does not promise features that have not been implemented.
2. Data stored on your device
Conference data, followed conferences and submission rounds, custom conferences, notification rules, calendar mappings and display preferences are stored locally. An App Group shares the selected conference snapshot and relevant settings with PaperDue widgets and Live Activities on the same device. Your followed list and reminder rules are not included in conference-data update requests.
The current app does not provide an iCloud synchronization setting or synchronize personal data through a PaperDue account. Device backups managed by Apple are governed by your device and Apple account settings.
3. Conference data updates
PaperDue includes offline conference data and downloads public updates from its data endpoint hosted on Tencent Cloud Object Storage. The request includes normal HTTPS networking information, such as the IP address visible to the hosting provider, and may include a data-version validator (ETag). It does not include your followed list, reminder configuration or custom conferences. The hosting provider may handle standard access logs under its own policies.
Links opened by you are handled by the selected browser or external app, which may apply its own privacy policy.
4. Notifications, calendar and Live Activities
PaperDue asks for notification permission when you choose to enable notifications. Notification requests are scheduled locally through iOS; the app does not upload their content to a PaperDue push-notification service. System settings and system limits can affect delivery.
If you choose to export nodes, PaperDue requests the calendar permission required for that operation. It creates events selected by you and can look up and update the calendar events linked to those exports. Calendar providers and device sync settings control whether those events sync outside your device. Conference-data refresh requests do not upload calendar information.
Widgets and Live Activities display data on your Home Screen, Lock Screen or Dynamic Island. Other people who can see those surfaces may see the conference information displayed there. You control these surfaces through the app and iOS settings.
The app does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts or photo-library access for these features.
5. Feedback you choose to send
The feedback page lets you write and review a message, optionally include the displayed app version, iOS version and last successful check time, and open an email addressed to [email protected]. Nothing is sent automatically. Your email app sends the message only when you submit it there and may include the sender address and other email metadata. The copy action writes the text you selected to the device clipboard.
Any information you voluntarily send by email is used to respond to that request and investigate the reported problem. Avoid including sensitive information you do not wish to share. You may contact the same address to ask about or request deletion of a feedback conversation, subject to applicable retention obligations.
6. Retention and control
Conference data remains available offline after a failed update. Changing display settings does not remove your followed conferences or reminders. You can modify your selections in the app and revoke system permissions in iOS Settings. Removing the app removes its app-local storage according to iOS behavior; calendar events already exported may remain in your calendar and can be removed there. Apple manages device backups and system data retention.
7. Security and changes
Public data downloads use HTTPS. Local storage is subject to iOS device security and backup settings. No method of storage or transmission guarantees absolute security. If this policy changes, the date above will be updated. The app bundles this policy for offline reading; a future app update may provide a revised version.

2. Data stored on your device
Conference data, followed conferences and submission rounds, custom conferences, notification rules, calendar mappings and display preferences are stored locally. App-local storage shares the selected conference snapshot and relevant settings with PaperDue widgets and the ongoing countdown notification on the same device. Your followed list and reminder rules are not included in conference-data update requests.
The current app does not synchronize personal data through a PaperDue account. Device backups are governed by your Android device and backup account settings.
3. Conference data updates
PaperDue includes offline conference data and downloads public updates from its data endpoint hosted on Tencent Cloud Object Storage. It does not include your followed list, reminder configuration or custom conferences. The hosting provider may handle standard access logs under its own policies.
When the app opens or returns to the foreground, PaperDue may check public version metadata at most once every 24 hours. You can also check manually. These checks download public version metadata from paperdue.pages.dev, hosted by Cloudflare Pages. This HTTPS request does not include your followed conferences, reminders or other personal app data; the hosting provider can see ordinary request information such as your IP address. If you confirm an APK download, the link opens in your browser and the download is handled there. PaperDue does not automatically download or install the APK. The browser and hosting provider apply their own privacy policies.
Links opened by you are handled by the selected browser or external app, which may apply its own privacy policy.
4. Notifications, calendar, photos and ongoing countdown notifications
PaperDue asks for notification permission when you choose to enable notifications. Notification requests are scheduled locally through Android; the app does not upload their content to a PaperDue push-notification service.
Widgets and ongoing countdown notifications display data on your Home Screen or notification surfaces, including the Lock Screen when permitted by your system settings. Other people who can see those surfaces may see the conference information displayed there. You control these surfaces through the app and Android settings.
When you tap Save to Photos, PaperDue writes the generated poster to Pictures/PaperDue on your device. Android 9 requires storage write permission, requested only when you choose to save. Android 10 and later use the system media store to save app-created images without photo-library read access. The app does not read your other photos or upload the poster to a PaperDue service. Your gallery or backup apps may sync saved images according to your device settings.
The app does not request camera, microphone, location or contacts access for these features.
5. Feedback you choose to send
The feedback page lets you write and review a message, optionally include the displayed app version, Android version and last successful check time, and open an email addressed to [email protected]. Nothing is sent automatically. Your email app sends the message only when you submit it there and may include the sender address and other email metadata.
